Watton-at-Stone Playschool was established in 1967 and is well respected in the village and surrounding area.  The playschool is based in its own grounds providing a safe and attractive environment, in which children can play and learn.  The playschool is a registered charity, a non-profit making organisation.  We are a community based group managed by a committee of parents who also organise fundraising events to be able to maintain our high standards.  The playschool is registered and inspected by OFSTED.  We are also a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.

We run the playschool at the following times

Morning sessions       9.00 am - 12.00pm
Lunch Club                  12.00pm - 12.55pm

We work within a framework, which gives equal opportunities for all children and families.  A high ratio of adults to children makes it possible for us to provide individual care and attention, ensuring every child is special.  Staff are always willing to show parents and carers around playschool and answer any questions or queries. 

Even though we receive Government funding our playschool is privately run.  As a charity we are required to have a committee of parents who are responsible for the maintenance of the building and specific administrative duties. As a charity we are a non-profit making organisation, all the money we receive is invested in the playschool.  Therefore, your support at fundraising events is essential for us to continue to maintain our recognised high standards.
